What moments will God remember?
Everyone knows that we don’t always remember every little thing in life, especially when you get some age on you. But as I said in the video, one day I will never forget was in June of 2006 at the Los Angeles Dream Center. This is when I made the decision to finally surrender my life to the King of King and Lord of Lord Jesus Christ. I will never forget this decision and as it has shaped my life today. There is no way I should be as blessed as I am today. There is no way I should have the life that I have. I am not educated enough. I am not talented enough. I’m not gifted enough. I don’t deserve to have the life I have today, but because I was obedient and responded to God when He touched my heart to change my life, I have been so phenomenally blessed.
See, you are a free moral person and God will let you choose. God will not force His will or His plan on you. God says your decision and your choices are up to you. You can choose to live for Jesus or not live for Jesus. No one can make you. But you have to understand that yes we have the power to make our own choices, but ultimately our choices have the power to make us, so choose wisely.
Everyday you are making choices (whether you remember them or not) that will shape you future. Many of us look back in our lives and all we can see are the bad choices that we have made. Maybe you were tricked into a business deal and you lost tons of money. You married someone you know you shouldn’t of. You slept with someone and now you see they were just using you. Or maybe you were the one who committed a terrible act. You broke the law. You hurt someone through your actions. You were abusive. And now that decision is all you think about. When you lie in bed, these thoughts of regret just flood your mind. All you can think about is what might have been if I just made a different choice. If I just chose differently, I’d be in such a better position that I am now. That spirit of regret just flows through our mind.
Listen to what Christ says, “I will cast all our sins, all our mistakes into the sea of forgetfulness. I will cast them as far as the East is from the west. Because what really matters is what decision have you made for eternity and at the end of the day that is what our God sees. Our sins and mistakes cannot measure up to what the Blood of Jesus can do for you.
